AC Milan could be without centre-back Fikayo Tomori for the derby against Inter as the defender has sustained a hip problem, a report claims.
There was some worry when Tomori collapsed in a heap during the first half of the 4-0 defeat against Lazio on Tuesday night as the Englishman was clearly clutching the area around his hip and he was forced to come off for Simon Kjaer.
According to Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) this morning, Tomori’s scans revealed an injury to the right hip rotator muscle, which means he will certainly not be on the field on Sunday at 12:30 CET for the game against Sassuolo.
In addition to that, given that another check will not take place until next Wednesday, it is very unlikely that he will be available for the derby match against Inter on February 5, so Stefano Pioli will have to adapt his defence once again in the face of injury problems.
