Journalist claims AC Milan Women could lose captain Bergamaschi to rivals

The Serie A Femminile season is coming to a close and Milan will close one of the most disappointing chapters in their short history. The team is most likely headed for a sixth place finish while failing to meet their seasonal objectives of qualifying for the Champions League and competing for trophies.

As a result, the team is set for an overhaul this summer. One of the players who could potentially leave the team is captain Valentina Bergamaschi. According to Italian journalist Miriana Cardinale, Bergamaschi’s camp has been in contacts with Juventus as a potential reinforcement for the club.

The move hinges on whether Vale signs a renewal with Milan. At the moment, the two parties are still working out the details of her renewal. With this in mind, there’s a 50/50 chance there she could stay and there is no indication that the player is pushing for an exit either.

Bergamaschi has been vital to the Rossonere ever since joining the team in 2018. The versatile player has played a total of 118 matches, while notching up 16 goals and registering ten assists.

In other news, SempreMilan’s Luca Maninetti has reported that Monica Renzotti and Nadine Sorelli are headed towards signing renewals with the club. The Primavera starlets have been integral to the youth side and even helped them win the first-ever Scudetto in their history.
