It has been a tumultuous time for the AC Milan Women as the team have been undergoing a revolution these past few days, with several once-key players leaving the team.
Among the players that have left are Verónica Boquete and former captain Valentina Giacinti. Both players went to Fiorentina and only Vale will return at the end of the season.
The club is now trying to move past the turmoil and is trying to add some stability to the team. Club director, Elisabet Spina, is said to be working on bringing in two players from abroad as per tuttocalciofemminile.it. The players have not been named yet but they are both reportedly ‘big coups’.
One could also surmise that one of the two players will be a midfielder, given the injury that Christy Grimshaw suffered in the Supercoppa Femminile final. The full extent of the player’s injury is still not known.
More details about the players will be revealed in the upcoming days. In the meanwhile, Milan is currently training in preparation for a resumption of league play. The team will play Hellas Verona this Saturday and kickoff time will be at 14:30 CET.
