Milan have won less than half of their games in 2023 – the figures

Stefano Pioli continues to have the support of AC Milan but the fans are right to question his position, especially if you take a look at the stats. In 2023, the Rossoneri have won less than half of their games in all competitions.

Yesterday’s defeat against Udinese highlighted a very tough situation at Milan and certainly confirmed the crisis for the club. Pioli’s position, however, is not under scrutiny and he will have the chance to turn things around with the Rossoneri.

As highlighted by SportFace, Milan’s record in 2023 is rather dire: 45 games, 19 wins, 12 draws and 14 defeats. This means that Pioli’s men have won just 42% of their games since the start of the year, from the 2-1 win against Salernitana to the 1-0 loss yesterday.

It’s clear that something needs to change and it remains to be seen how much time Pioli will get to turn things around. He was heavily criticised last season as well and this campaign could be his last with the club.

For now, however, Pioli and his players are focused on the big clash against PSG on Tuesday. At least a draw is needed to keep the hopes of qualifying alive, more or less, but it will also depend on the result in the other game.
