MN: Milan working with confidence on double deal – the weekend could be decisive

AC Milan are continuing to negotiate on two fronts to try and improve the squad available to Stefano Pioli, but things are slow moving.

MilanNews reports that a decisive Wednesday was expected for Milan’s transfer market but this was not the case in the end as the meeting in Belgium between Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara of Milan and the management of Club Bruges for Charles De Ketelaere did not reach a full agreement.

It did allow them to speak in person about the playmaker and while the talks were ‘cordial and interlocutory’, they did not lead to any definitive conclusion. However, from what it filters, it helped to increase optimism for the positive closing of the deal by the weekend as Maldini himself hinted.

Meanwhile, Milan have not lost hope for Renato Sanches despite the inclusion of PSG into the race. The Ligue 1 side have not presented a satisfactory offer to Lille, so much so that their president Oliver Letang confirmed he could join either. The weekend could be decisive both one way and the other, for both players.
