Tuttosport: Milan targeting €100m-rated duo to revolutionise the attack – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could sign not just one but two quality forwards this summer as they continue to pursue various options, a report claims.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), there could be a mini-revolution in the attacking department this summer and the names that the Rossoneri management like most are those of Nicolò Zaniolo and Charles De Ketelaere, but they are not mutually exclusive.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara like the technical qualities that Zaniolo has and they believe that Stefano Pioli could have two dangerous flanks when considering that there is Rafael Leao on the left side. He is also Italian and therefore would help with the UEFA squad list regulations, but Roma for the moment want €60m though Milan have stopped at €35m.

The distance could be bridged based on his contract situation because Zaniolo’s deal expires in 2024 and at the moment there is no progress with the Giallorossi, who might be forced to accept lower bids.

De Ketelaere has been chosen for the role of attacking midfielder after the difficulties in that position last season, while the Rossoneri management have asked the Belgian’s entourage not to consider other offers.

Leicester City have put forward €30m but this does not worry Milan, however with Noa Lang leaving (another AC Milan target), the Belgian champions would like to keep De Ketelaere but a bid of €40m could make them waver.
