Zlatan Ibrahimovic has some objectives in mind for the second half of the season with AC Milan set to rely on him again, according to a report.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Ibrahimovic intends to sew the Scudetto patch on his chest at the end of the season because the Swede’s first mission is to win another trophy with the Rossoneri after his last league title with them in 2010-11.
Ibrahimovic had missed the last game of 2021 due to an overload in his left knee, but now he is fine and will train regularly with the rest of the team this afternoon. He also has two more targets: he wants to become the oldest Milan player to win the Scudetto, and he wants to become a top ten scorer for the club. He is currently 12th with 91, and tenth is Pierino Prati at 102.
He might also use the second half of the season and any subsequent success to try and reclaim the Swedish Ballon d’Or from Emil Forsberg, as well as to earn another renewal with Milan. In short, there are a lot of motivations to keep going.
