Milan’s three absentees for crucial game against Roma confirmed by Pioli

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will have three absences for the game against Roma at the Stadio Olimpico tomorrow night, Stefano Pioli has confirmed.

Milan will make the trip to the capital with plenty to play for given that they are level on points with Roma on 56 but with a slightly better goal difference which has them currently sat in fourth spot, but with plenty of other teams competing for the three remaining places below Napoli.

Tomorrow’s match will also be important when it comes to head-to-head, because a win for either side – after the 2-2 draw at San Siro in the reverse fixture – would be like having an extra point in the event both teams finish level.

Pioli spoke to the reporters who gathered in the media room at Milanello for his pre-match press conference ahead of the game, with his comments relayed by MilanNews, and he was asked about the injury situation.

“Ibra is better but there isn’t a diagnosis yet. He won’t be there tomorrow, as well as Pobega and Florenzi who has a fever,” he said.
