Tuttosport: Milan’s youth project bearing fruit as Kalulu and Daniel Maldini join the list

The youth project that AC Milan embarked on when Elliott Management took control of the club is beginning to bear fruit, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes how the American fund made the decision to start a new project based largely on young players, which caused many Milan fans and pundits to raise several doubts.

There have been difficulties along the way but the general feeling is that the plans are beginning to yield a nice return. The likes of Rafael Leao, Brahim Diaz, Alexis Saelemakers, Sandro Tonali, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez, have all arrived – mostly from abroad – to begin the path.

Then there are the latest young talents like Pierre Kalulu and Daniel Maldini who have shown excellent things, with the Rossoneri’s depth proving to be even more mature and strong. Fundamental in this project is obviously the contribution of the “older” players who, with their experience, gave a big hand to the younger players.

Players such as Ibrahimovic, Kjaer and Giroud deserve credit as they have given the right mentality to the whole group, so a nice blend has been found, also thanks to the work of Pioli.
