AC Milan plan to sign another midfielder in the summer to try and complete the jigsaw, according to a report.
Milan are overprotected on one side of the midfield, but often rotate to the other. As Tuttosport (via MilanPress) points out, the right midfield position has had four occupants this season, while the other two places have been locked up by Luka Modric and Adrien Rabiot.

This summer, the Rossoneri will step in to strengthen the right mezzala role and among the prospects being explored is Leon Goretzka, whose contract with Bayern Munich is expiring. Manchester United’s Casemiro is a more distant prospect for now.
Interestingly, the paper adds that Igli Tare’s dream remains Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, currently tied to Al-Hilal until 2028. The Albanian director was the one who led the negotiation to bring him to Lazio from Belgium years ago.
Milan are also looking for a quick and creative attacking midfielder, someone like Brahim Diaz. The name at the top of the list is Konstantinos Karetsas of Genk, an 18-year-old who is already a starter and has 16 assists this season.
Valued at over €30m, he’s also being pursued by RB Leipzig, Manchester City and Ajax. Milan have been watching him for some time, with Geoffrey Moncada a fan, but only Champions League earnings would guarantee the resources to make a move.
Fofana has clearly been Allegri’s first choice on the right side. With Ricci and Jashari subbing in mostly when Fofana has been injured or suspended. Allegri does not seem to be uncertain who his midfield starters are. It’s been quite consistent all season.

It’s mad to be linked with the likes of SMS and Casemiro given their age and wages. And more importantly they need to sort out who is leaving so figure out what profiles and how much room we have.
Then there’s loanees returning in Bennacer and Bondo. Add RLC and Fofana. That’s 4 players you have to try to offload before reinforcing.
SMS is 31 as of yesterday, his main characteristic was not speed, as long as he is willing to work hard he can play.

Karetas by the way… absolutely fantastic talented player but I doubt we can bring him.
We can’t bring Cr7 Messi and any other good player to Milan but in as much as Allegri continue to use Leao as a striker nothing will improve. Milan don’t need any midfielder rather an experience defender and for Allegri to get his selection right.
A tstanding striker must be in the Teams, Leao to play from his left wing and Pullisic as a supporting striker then Milan will be the best but in as much as Allegri continue playing Leao as a striker am sorry
We have quite the numbers of midfielders, we are pretty much set for years to come, our attack is a mess and focusing on fixing it would be ideal, we need to figure out if we are gonna play with two strikers or attacking wingers and comitt to it.
