Reports: Milinkovic-Savic wants a big move – Juventus and Milan remain vigilant

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s future at Lazio is not currently certain and AC Milan are monitoring the situation ahead of a possible future attempt, it is claimed.

Calciomercato.it start a report by citing Corriere dello Sport who claim that the president of Lazio – Claudio Lotito – wants to try and convince Milinkovic-Savic to renew his current contract which expires in 2024.

The intention is to raise his salary again to around €4m net per season which is the same as captain Ciro Immobile earns, but it is a proposal that has so far never taken into consideration by the player and his entourage.

Instead, the Serbia international has the desire to move to a top European club and Lotito – who is aware of this – would be willing to insert a release clause into a new contract to enable this possibility.

In terms of options for the move, the last contacts with Chelsea were in June while Arsenal and Newcastle tried, but they are not playing in the Champions League. Manchester United are signing Casemiro and PSG are getting Fabian Ruiz.

Juventus remains vigilant hoping to be able to try again and finally Milan hope to get the takeover fully over the line in the next few weeks to secure the economic power to try an assault in the future.
