CM: Milinkovic-Savic could finally leave Lazio – Milan among three teams ‘in the front row’

By Oliver Fisher -

Tomorrow’s game between Lazio and Roma could be the last Derby della Capitale for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as his future is uncertain, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.com, the Serbian midfielder is understandably admirers by many Italian sides but also clubs abroad, and this summer could be the one where he finally makes the jump to a club competing perennially for trophies.

Claudio Lotito is still asking for no less than €60m for the 27-year-old old to leave, with Inter, Milan and Juve are ‘in the front row’ in case he does leave, but none of the three clubs can pay that asking price.

Milinkovic-Savic is having another brilliant season under Maurizio Sarri playing under a new system having racked up 8 goals and 9 assists in the league during the current campaign, which is exactly the total he managed in the entirety of the 2020-21 season.

He could slot into a midfield three if the Rossoneri did go to a 4-3-3, or could perhaps be the attacking midfielder in a 4-2-3-1 given his end product.

    1. I’m agree about Never gonna happen. 😒
      .
But he is the player type who can add something to our squad we don’t have; and we need it badly to go to next level!
If management be smart enough; why not!
If we Not spend on Botman; and extend Romagnoli’s contract (and not losing another one for free!).
And not spend on ST (like Scam), and go for Belotti and Origi for free.
And also I prefer to put faith on Pobega than spend €30m on injury prone R.Sanches!
We have enough budget to buy him.

      1. Don’t renew Romagnoli. He’s fine but no need to spend the money on him. Also reality check. This isn’t fifa or FM. You can’t just resign players and flip them like bitcoin. Players want to be free to choose where they play not sign a deal just so they can be sold down the road.

        1. Spend money on Romagnoli!? 😳
He is in our team already! 🤷🏻‍♂️
          .
Yes this isn’t Fifa or FM. And reality check!
We saw on news; he never said wanna leave!
About wage; management offer him 2.5-2.8m. When he earns 5.5-6m right now. And to be honest; this is insulting! And he going to accept 3m offer from Lazio. Just 200k more!
And then, we offer Botman 3.5m wage, for start. And in duel with Newcastle, that goes higher for sure. And also spending around 30m. So why!?
          .
He is Italian! He is club capitan for years! And he is just 27 and on his prime! He never been shaky, and did a lot for club!
We must respect him more! Management and fans!

          1. True, the difference might just be 200k on paper net salary, but the reason why we sign non-Italians are basically due to the “Growth Decree”. So, in gross salary, extending Romagnoli would be a lot more than Botman’s salary.

          2. Wow u’re such “great” observer.
He earn 6m cos raiola factor, a greedy agent.
Milan offering 2.8,same as bastoni & skriniar received at inter. I think they much stronger than him
As Billy recently said about Romagnoli, he tough at 19 Romagnoli can become the strongest, new chiellini. But as we saw today he’s only average player
I trust maldini, see case of dona, calha, kesi. he doesn’t overpay them, and he’s right

          3. @Bunga2
            Good comment!
Yes. This is a ridiculous law and to the detriment of Italian players and teams.
            But pay attention to these…
            1. In the comparison between Romagnoli and Botman, you talked about wages. But don’t forget, there is a +€30m on fee for Botman! 🤷🏻‍♂️
            2. With a business point of view; when you want to do something, and you are willing to pay 2.8m; It’s smart to pay that 200k more and get the job done! 😉 also pay 200k more, and don’t lose a €20-30m player for free! 😬 A gift to your rivals! (Juve or Lazio)
            3. By UEFA laws (I don’t remember the details!); Teams must have at least a certain numbers of players from their own country and also from their own academy. So there is no choice but to have some Italian players…

          4. @Bayan
            Thank you my friend. 🙏🏻
I understand all of your good comments.
            .
Yes. Raiola factor! but also, Mirabeli and Fassone mircles!! 🤦🏻‍♂️😒😄
You are right about Bastoni & Skriniar &… .
But in football (as a Business), you can’t make such comparisons. There are many examples of the opposite. Just think about how much S.Ramos earns on PSG, just for 4 games! 💁🏻‍♂️
            .
And about Romagnoli; I think we must respect him more. He is +average for sure. Just check some rating from every source you want! and see he is one of our good players of season. Are you remember any shaky performence of him!? 🤷🏻‍♂️
I remember his last minutes winner goals from last season.
            .
And about Donna, Calhan & Kessie; it’s not just about overpay; there is also lose top players for free! Their worth on Transfermarkt is 65m+35m+45m= €145m!
and Romagnoli is 20-25m. Just imagne, we lost €170m on them! 🤦🏻‍♂️

          5. Football more and more about business, but don’t forget about sports itself.
Yes by letting them go free we lose financially, but they’re replaceable with better and cheaper one, that’s smart

Why management keep kjaer, ibra, oli? Technically they’re average but they can offer something: mentality

We’re fifth in payrolls and first in standing, that’s good sign for better future. We’re not psg nor city, we need smart management to be competitive

as fans we are free to judge, but I think the work of Massara and Maldini is much better than their predecessors. they know more about football outside and inside than us

  1. I already become AC Milan fans since 1990 , never saw this club’ buy player 60m euro in one player until 2022. SMS are good but already 27 ,there is no way AC Milan gonna pay 60m euro for player already 27 years old . Just forget this rumour
