Mirabelli hits out at Maldini again: “He’s like a doctor who didn’t go to primary school”

By Oliver Fisher -

Former AC Milan director Massimiliano Mirabelli has stuck the boot in to Paolo Maldini as speculation circles about his future.

Mirabelli joined Milan back in 2017 when Yonghong Li bought the club from Silvio Berlusconi, and oversaw a transfer campaign which saw Milan bring in a number of high-profile players for over €100million.

He has previously been outspoken about his time with the Rossoneri – such as having an agreement in place to sign Cristiano Ronaldo and the huge fine he gave to Leonardo Bonucci.

Meanwhile, reports are circulating claiming Zvonimir Boban is set to be sacked after he spoke out against CEO Ivan Gazidis, and in turn it is claimed that Maldini could leave too.

Interviewed by Tuttomercatoweb.com, Mirabelli hit out once again at Maldini for his lack of experience as a director.

“To Maldini, who was a great champion as a footballer, he should be asked: ‘What did you do to become a manager?’ He’s like a doctor who didn’t go to primary school.”
