Mirror: Man Utd join Chelsea and Man City in pursuit of Milan star after scouting mission

Manchester United are the latest team to be linked with a move for AC Milan winger Rafael Leao as they have scouted him, a report claims.

After a season in which he racked up double digits in both goals and assists across all competitions for the Rossoneri and was named the Serie A MVP in Milan’s Scudetto-winning campaign, it is no surprise that the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have been linked.

According to the Mirror (via MilanNews) in England, Milan are working to renew Leao’s contract which expires in June 2024 and they know that half of Europe’s elite clubs are watching the situation with interest.

Among these teams is Manchester United, who sent scouts to watch each of Milan’s two matches against Chelsea in the Champions League. The report adds Chelsea and Manchester City also watched the former Lille man too, with the former having been strongest linked.

Outside of Chelsea interest in Leao in the summer and prior to signing Nkunku from Leipzig, the rest of the teams reported to be interested in Leao make very little sense. All inventions by Jorge Mendes
