ML: Florenzi has convinced Milan and discount on €4.5m fee cannot be excluded

Arriving on an initial loan deal ahead of the season, Alessandro Florenzi has worked hard to convince AC Milan to make use of the redemption in his contract. It’s an option that looks increasingly likely, a report claims.

The experienced and versatile right-back has made 24 appearances for the Rossoneri this season and has also found the back of the net once. It was a nice free-kick goal against Empoli and it must be said that his performances have been very solid.

According to MilanLive, Milan are increasingly convinced that redeeming Florenzi is the right move, especially since Davide Calabria remains the first choice. To redeem the Italian international, the Rossoneri need to pay just €4.5m to Roma.

A discount shouldn’t be excluded, especially since Florenzi isn’t part of Roma’s plans for the future and he turns 31 in a few days. It would be a good signing even without the discount, though, given what we have seen this season.

  1. If we are looking for discounts I just read that Ukranian clubs have been allowed to sell players so they can get some profits instead of players just canceling their contracts and clubs will be allowed to sign players from Ukraine. I can think of 3 players that would play in the first team this night if they signed now.
