A return to the Premier League could become a possibility for Ruben Loftus-Cheek as AC Milan look to continue evolving their midfield department, a report claims.

MilanLive report that the switch to a 4-4-2 formation means that head coach Paulo Fonseca considers Loftus-Cheek a reserve for now. The Englishman will have to try to adapt his way of playing to the coach’s needs if he wants to win back a starting spot, all while the management look at another signing.

It is no secret that Milan is looking for another midfielder, a player who can play in front of the defence with greater ease and can this support both Youssouf Fofana and Tijjani Reijnders. In Italy, Belahyane from Hellas Verona and Samuele Ricci from Torino are being followed.

Carney Chukwuemeka is always on Geoffrey Moncada’s radar and he could be an opportunity to seize, especially if Chelsea were to allow a loan with option to buy. However, Edson Alvarez could also become an option.

The West Ham midfielder has made seven appearances at the start of this season, five in the Premier League and two in the EFL Cup, for a total of over 380 minutes. He is not exactly a first choice for the Hammers, given in the league he has started three times.

West Ham might be interested in the idea of bringing Loftus-Cheek back to London and thus an exchange deal for the Mexico international Alvarez could be talked about.

  1. So he is a bench player in West Ham but good enough for Milan? How about you start to go for quality players for once who can actually improve the team, clown management.

  2. Good if RLC leaves both for him and the club.

However we should stop listening to Moncada about bringing in new faces, he is a f-cking idiot.

Emerson Royale for Kalulu is a firing offence
