ML: Milan could send Castillejo to Atletico Madrid in swap deal for one of two players

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could agree a swap deal with Atletico Madrid involving Samu Castillejo, according to the latest reports.

There has been lots of speculation that Castillejo could leave the club in January given that he has fallen behind Alexis Saelemaekers in the pecking order for the time being, with a return to Spain the most touted option.

According to MilanLive, the economic crisis clubs are enduring in this period does not favour investments and for this reason it is easier to think of swap deals.

It is difficult to imagine that any club will come to Milan with an offer of at least €15million, but one team that would have players that could interest Milan are Atletico Madrid.

An idea to get to Castillejo could be Hector Herrera. The player has the experience it takes to complete the midfield department, and before arriving in the Spanish capital, Milan also thought about signing him.

Another name would be the defender Stefan Savic, who knows the Italian league well and could be a useful addition at centre-back.

  1. Swapping Samu for bloody Savić is a deal of a century. He would give Romagnoli a tough challenge, because Kjaer is probably untouchable ATM. Even Herrera as a replacement of Krunić is massive upgrade.

  2. I agree Correra instead, but ATM manager wont want that he’s skating on thin ice to deliver

I say don’t give Atletico an easy deal they were unhelpful to ACM when we wanted to deal with them
