ML: Milan could target expiring Bayern Munich midfielder amid Kessie stalemate

By Isak Möller -

Franck Kessie’s contract will expire next summer and the renewal talks with AC Milan have seemingly hit a stalemate. Therefore, the Rossoneri will soon have to start looking for a replacement for next season.

The Ivorian midfielder hasn’t responded to Milan’s latest renewal offer and a departure seems possible. Inevitably, the Rossoneri will have to probe the market in order to not be caught unprepared when the summer comes around.

As reported by MilanLive, one name that could come into fashion is Corentin Tolisso. The French midfielder was linked with Milan many years ago but since his contract will expire next summer, the Rossoneri could target him again.

He currently earns €7m per year at Bayern Munich and it’s clear that he would have to lower his salary. He has made just three appearances this season and could perhaps agree to a pay cut in order to get more playing time.

  1. I want to believe this news is false.

Pobega and Adli are enough as replacements.

Bakayoko, Tonali, Bennacer, Adli, Krunic, Pobega.. we have 3 starting pairs

Pls and pls, sign Vlahovic or Belloti

    Ibra and Giroud are old

Sign a proper RW too and the team is set to win any title. Bernardo would be a good signing

    1. Proper RW?? Saelemaeckers was by far our best man against Spezia. If you do not see what Alexis is adding, you are not a true Milan fan sorry. + we have Florenzi and Messias, RW is not a problem.

We need a LW to compete with Leao, Rebic is NOT suited as LW, and a CAM to compete with Diaz, Maldini – despite his goal – is not ready yet.

    2. No they are not. Tonali is the closest to Kessie, others are so different you can’t say any of them are replacements. Adli is could be a replacement for Bennacer, not Kessie. Pobega, well, just watch him play 3-4 times, you are talking about him being a replacement from newspaper stories, he is not that type of player.

  2. We do not need him badly. He is injured too much and earns much money. And we cannot sell him for profit either.Adli, Tonali, Bennacer, Krunic and Bakayoko should be enough.Brescianini and Pobega are also on loan and we can get them back if we want them.

  3. If they can get him for free and if he will lower his wages to 4-5M per season, sign him. No point in paying anything for him in January, but Kamara would be a better choice anyway.
