ML: Milan could target expiring Bayern Munich midfielder amid Kessie stalemate

Franck Kessie’s contract will expire next summer and the renewal talks with AC Milan have seemingly hit a stalemate. Therefore, the Rossoneri will soon have to start looking for a replacement for next season.

The Ivorian midfielder hasn’t responded to Milan’s latest renewal offer and a departure seems possible. Inevitably, the Rossoneri will have to probe the market in order to not be caught unprepared when the summer comes around.

As reported by MilanLive, one name that could come into fashion is Corentin Tolisso. The French midfielder was linked with Milan many years ago but since his contract will expire next summer, the Rossoneri could target him again.

He currently earns €7m per year at Bayern Munich and it’s clear that he would have to lower his salary. He has made just three appearances this season and could perhaps agree to a pay cut in order to get more playing time.
