ML: Milan hatch swap plan to beat Napoli to €20m winger as Chelsea watch with interest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could offer Sassuolo one of two young midfielders in the bid to land star winger Jeremie Boga this summer, a report claims.

Boga has been in fantastic form for the Neroverdi since his arrival from Chelsea and in this season in particular, amassing four assists and eight goals before the stop due to the Coronavirus.

It was reported by SportMediaset on Friday that both Milan and Napoli are taking a look at Boga, adding that Sassuolo value the player at €20million currently but the Partenopei are ahead in the race as the Rossoneri are currently also distracted by the Rangnick issue.

According to the latest from MilanLive, Boga’s price tag is in fact €20m and Chelsea at the moment do not seem intent on exercising the €16m buy-back they negotiated when they sold the winger to Sassuolo.

Milan could look to bring down the asking price even further by offering up one of young midfield duo Marco Brescianini or Tommaso Pobega, especially if the Neroverdi were to lose star man (and former Milan starlet) Manuel Locatelli.
