ML: Milan make clear decision on flop as pecking order confirms his fate

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are gearing up to take on Juventus this Friday, but they will have to do without Theo Hernandez, Samu Castillejo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. While the latter two can be replaced, it’s tougher with the former.

Although the Rossoneri have another left-back in the squad, Diego Laxalt, it seems he won’t be the chosen one for the left flank. Instead, Davide Calabria will be moved from the right side, which has happened in the past.

According to Milanlive.it, Laxalt’s future with the club has already been decided, having arrived as an emergency solution in January when the deal for Antonee Robinson fell through. He will leave once this season is over.

In recent weeks, the Uruguayan has been linked with a move to Russia, where a few teams are interested in his services. Certainly, Milan have no intention of keeping him for the imminent youth revolution, which Ralf Rangnick will lead.
