ML: Milan resume talks with entourage of Benfica star – the price tag and basis of the deal

AC Milan have resumed contacts over the signing of midfielder Florentino Luis in the summer window, according to a report.

The 20-year-old has an excellent performance against Vitoria Guimaraes on Tuesday night as he came on at 0-0 in place of Julian Weigl, boosting the team as they went on to win 2-0.

According to MilanLive, Milan had the opportunity to observe the game last night and their information states that the Rossoneri are continuing to speak with the player’s agent and there has also been contact during the past week.

The is a release clause worth €120million built into his current contract, but Benfica seem willing to sell the player for €35-40million and to negotiate on the basis of a loan with the option to buy.

It is possible that contacts between clubs will soon resume to understand if there is the possibility of negotiating an agreement, with the midfield expected to be an area Milan strengthen in despite the exploits of Bennacer and Kessie.
