MN: Absences nothing new for Pioli as Milan can show their true strength again

By Isak Möller -

Stefano Pioli will have to deal with a few absences for AC Milan’s clash against Hellas Verona on Saturday. However, the manager has shown before that he’s capable of doing so, relying on all of his players.

As highlighted by MilanNews, the injury list has never been completely cleared in the first part of this season, with injuries, recoveries and relapses. However, this has led to something positive for the Rossoneri, with focus on the youngsters.

The two most experienced players, Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, have been out the most and this has forced the youngsters to step up. The likes of Fikayo Tomori, Sandro Tonali, Davide Calabria and Brahim Diaz can now also be considered leaders.

The same goes for Rafael Leao, Ante Rebic and Alexis Saelemaekers, who have started the season well. In short, Pioli’s system allows the team to focus on the collective effort rather than just individual effort, which in turn has made the team stronger.

It won’t be easy on Saturday, that we must remember, but Milan will have yet another chance to show their true strength.
