As Suso has officially joined Sevilla, AC Milan are looking for a replacement on the transfer market. By the looks of it, Zvone Boban and Paolo Maldini have identified their number one target.
According to the latest reports from MilanNews.it, the Rossoneri are very close to completing the signing of Alexis Saelemaekers. The 20-year-old right midfielder currently plays for Anderlecht and his contract expires in 2022.
The two clubs are negotiation on the basis of a loan with an obligation to buy. Mainly, the player will be a replacement for Suso. However, he can also be used in the defence by Stefano Pioli if needed, as he is a very versatile player.
As the report states, the operation could take off about 24 hours before the transfer window closes. The transfer deadline in Italy is scheduled for 8 pm tomorrow (Friday). The upcoming hours will be crucial but it’s certain that Milan are closing in.
