MN: Adli was furious after Milan’s friendly against Barcelona – the background

Yacine Adli has worked very hard in the last year and a half to win over the trust of AC Milan manager Stefano Pioli. Now he has it, but the journey wasn’t easy for the midfielder, as a report points out.

As a result of Rade Krunic’s injury, Adli finally got his chance in the No.6 role, having worked in that position since the summer. So far, he has done well and has managed to gain the trust of Pioli.

According to MilanNews, Adli has more or less always kept his head down, working harder in adversity. However, after the friendly against Barcelona in the summer, he had a ‘genuine outburst’ in the tunnel on his way to the locker room.

Even though it was just a friendly, and with a lot of rotation as well, Pioli left Adli on the bench for the entire game. One can certainly understand the midfielder’s reaction, therefore, and it should be noted that he quickly got back to working hard after the incident.
