Al-Hilal have submitted their first official offer for Theo Hernandez, according to a report, but AC Milan would like more and the player himself isn’t convinced.

Given that Hernandez’s current contract will expire in 2026, with no contract renewal in sight either, it’s believed that the Frenchman will leave this summer. The destination, however, is yet to be decided as the No.19 is still waiting for offers.

Offers from Europe, we mean, as he’s already received a monstrous contract offer of €18m per season from the Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal. According to MilanNews, the club has now also tabled an official offer for Milan to evaluate: €20m.

As the report stated, Milan would like more from their star left-back and will not accept the offer. Furthermore, Hernandez has already said that he would like to remain in Europe and join a top club, which is why he’s inclined to wait one or two more months.

Al-Hilal will feature in the Club World Cup and their goal is thus to complete the deal before the tournament, which starts on June 15th. They will definitely need to come up with their offer for Milan, though, while the biggest hurdle remains convincing the player to leave Europe.

      1. Because he’s one of about three players in the team who can win games single handily and because he’s one of the few remaining players from the legendary Scudetto team and because not every f’ing player or thing is replaceable.

        1. He’s also a player who can single-handedly donate the opponents 3 points as he did on multiple occasions last season. He did more damage than good for his team.

          1. When exactly? He got one harsh red card and that was about it. As if other players don’t get red cards. If you think that one of the best LB in the world has done more damage than good for his team maybe this is not the sport for you.

          2. E.g. Atalanta-match where CDK made him look like a little girl when scoring.

And there were plenty of others. Even Emerson Royal didn’t donate as many goals as Theo did and that guy isn’t even qualified to play in the Serie D.

          3. “If you think that one of the best LB in the world has done more damage than good for his team maybe this is not the sport for you.”

Potentially one of the best. Last season? Not even in the top-50. Just admit it, you didn’t watch him play once.

  1. 20 ml is better than nothing he can go otherwise we must punish him because he trying to fool us and leave for free

  2. He has been done for two years. Time to leave, Theo. Vacation football has been his thing this season anyway. Getting paid 18 mill euros for doing so should be an easy decision.

  3. He’s been done with us since kerkez left we should have done more to keep kerkez mind on Milan for another 6 months and started integrating him then when Theo had just signed and was seen as a 70m player. We could have kept tonali. We could have done a lot of things but we didn’t. We’ve had 2 real successful buys in last few years. Pulisic and tigi and we’re about to let tigi go as our next moneybag. Berlusconi for all his faults at the end and shelling 500m to keep himself out of a jail made sure we were never a selling club. We were what Real Madrid are today. Our Dutch trio, lentini, papin, savecevic, desailly all winners and brought immediately to Milan. Today we’re a bottom feeder club, terribly run and night pushing a new narrative of going back to a more Italian base along the early 20s make up of the squad. We don’t seem to know our @rse from our elbow. The fact is with no European football we should be winning the league next year at a canter. If Napoli can do it with kvara for 6 months then we can. It’s a minimum. There’s poison in this team and I suspect Theo is at the core of it so let him go.

  4. Renew Theo for 1-2 more years, he is one of the best left back in Milan, instead sell Leao as he is too lazy.

I put Theo on the left midfield and strengthen with another left defender.

  5. Its funny how all the experts here think Theo is not good enough. Can’t wait till next season when they realize the replacment is not even half as good lol. Kerkez who is one of the most requested LB righ now has contributed to some 8 goals last sesaon. Theo contributed to 11. You people don’t know what you have until its gone.

    1. And that’s in the prem for Bournemouth and they with Leao next to him. You’re right we didn’t know what we had but maldini did

  6. I think Theo is one of only few players who brings that something special to the fans. It is really a joy watching him play. We need to keep him for many more years as he is certainly one of the best players if not the best in the world on that position. We need more players like him, those who play with passion and joy, not a dull boring players who just pas the ball to the next player and wait to see what will happen.
