MN: An update on the condition of Rebic and Calhanoglu – both expected back next week

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan look set to be without two of their key creative forces for at least the next couple of games as both recover from injury, a report claims.

Ante Rebic dislocated his elbow before the international break during the 2-0 away win over Crotone, and though a return in two weeks was expected he is still struggling with the injury.

Meanwhile, it was revealed on Tuesday that Hakan Calhanoglu has been ruled out for the next three or four games with an ankle sprain that he picked up in training.

Now, MilanNews reporter Anto Vitiello has offered an update on the condition of both players and while it is not bad news, it is not exactly great news either.

The journalist reports that Rebic resumed personalised training on the pitch without contact and will miss the Celtic and Roma games but will probably return to training next week.

Calhanoglu’s ankle is less swollen now but he still feels pain, though his return is expected within the next week to 10 days.
