MN: Aston Villa ahead of Spurs, West Ham for €30m Milan striker; replacement lined up

AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek is interested in the idea of a move to the Premier League, a report claims, where three clubs are chasing his signature.

According to the reliable MilanNews.it, the Rossoneri are open to the idea of selling Piatek due to the fact he has scored just one goal from open play in the opening 18 Serie A games. The future of the former Genoa star, who landed in Milanello a year ago, could be in the Premier League.

The arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic could accelerate the sale of Piatek, who cost Milan €35million last January. Aston Villa are on pole as they are willing to spend a figure close to €30million.

However, the report also states that London duo West Ham and Tottenham are interested, clubs looking for reinforcement for their respective attacks – especially the latter given Harry Kane’s industry.

MilanNews continues by adding that Piatek is willing (or perhaps resigned) to leave. The arrival of Ibra plus the temptation of head coach Stefano Pioli to partner him with Rafael Leao seems to pave the way for the 24-year-old’s exit.

In the event of Piatek’s farewell, Milan could focus on Andrea Petagna, who would be happy to leave SPAL and return to the San Siro where he played as a youngster.
