MN: Barcelona, Man Utd, PSG and Spurs gather as Milan centre-back’s future is uncertain

By Oliver Fisher -

Alessio Romagnoli’s Milan future is in the balance and he is attracting plenty of interest from clubs abroad, according to a report.

MilanNews writes how the intention of Stefano Pioli is to have three strong centre-back options next season and to be able to alternate them according to the opponents. The coach would gladly keep Romagnoli and Tomori, obviously together with Simon Kjaer.

However, there are some questions that must be answered. Is Romagnoli happy to be the third centre-back and to alternate? Do the club have an interest in renewing the contract for a client of Mino Raiola after what happened with Donnarumma?

Paolo Maldini has been in contact with the player’s entourage for some time to renew the contract but the club want to avoid losing their captain on a free transfer, so that means offers will be considered up until the point where his signature arrives.

The report adds how Romagnoli is admired by several European clubs, above all Barcelona but also Manchester United, PSG and Tottenham. His future is in the balance but from a personal point of view Romagnoli’s main objective is to recover a spot in the Italian national team ahead of the 2022 World Cup.
