Davide Calabria missed out on the game against Genoa on Friday evening and AC Milan could be without him on Tuesday evening as well, when they will face Inter. The right-back, in fact, is still struggling with fever.
Shortly before kick-off between Milan and Genoa, it was revealed that Gabbia would replace Calabria in the starting XI. The latter was struggling with a stomach issue and also fever, which he’s yet to get rid of.
He didn’t take part in today’s training session, as reported by MilanNews, and it remains to be seen if he will be available against Inter on Tuesday. Should his condition improve, then he could at least make the bench.
Most likely, in other words, Matteo Gabbia will be the starting centre-back again and Pierre Kalulu the right-back. The former came off injured against Genoa but he took part in today’s training session, meaning he’s fine.
