Today was another special chapter in Stefano Pioli’s story at AC Milan as he put pen to paper on a two-year contract extension, and he was congratulated by Gerry Cardinale.
MilanNews reports that Pioli signed the renewal of his contract at Casa Milan this afternoon, with a pay rise to reward him for his hard work since arriving in 2019, and it will tie him to the Rossoneri until June 2025.
It is news that has been celebrated by virtually all of the Milan environment but especially by Gerry Cardinale, the frontman of RedBird Capital and the new owner of the Rossoneri.
Cardinale in fact took advantage of the opportunity to call Pioli – with the technical director Paolo Maldini present during the call – to congratulate him on the absolutely deserved contract renewal with the results achieved on the field in recent years, results which made him want to commit to a €1.2bn takeover.
