MN: Chaka Traore ready to lend a hand vs. Fiorentina with Milan’s attack stretched

AC Milan’s attacking department is likely to be a bit stretched for the upcoming game against Fiorentina after the international break, which could present a chance to Chaka Traore.

MilanNews recall that the absences in defence of Marco Pellegrino and Pierre Kalulu have allowed Jan-Carlo Simic to make the step up from the Primavera to be on stand-by in case of further emergency, but his team-mate may join him.

Given that Rafael Leao will almost certainly be out injured for the match against Fiorentina and Olivier Giroud will serve the first game of a two-match suspension in Serie A, the forwards available are as follows: Samuel Chukwueze, Chrisian Pulisic, Noah Okafor, Luka Jovic and Luka Romero.

Stefano Pioli would like another left winger to form a pair on that side (presumable with Pulisic switching over), and Chaka Traore could be that player. Having arrived at Milan during the summer of 2021, he made his debut against the Rossoneri for Parma at the age of 16, showing how highly his talent is regarded.

He has so far been starring for the Primavera and has got minutes with the first team in friendly matches, but he feels ready to make his debut in official matches too if the need arises. Traore has been one of the protagonists of the rise of Ignazio Abate’s side, meaning he is full of confidence.

Chaka is a very calm and serene boy, and has already bonded with Leao, Yunus Musah and Chukwueze among others. He grew up with Ronaldinho and Neymar as idols, and tries to take inspiration from them in terms of being an entertainer.

When starting on the left he likes to cut in onto his favoured right foot, but it is his dribbling and ball progression that mean he is often among the most dangerous in the Primavera. Of course he cannot have the weight of the attack on his shoulders, but in the right moment giving him his competitive debut could be a major boost.
