MN: Chelsea midfielder to join Milan but the formula has altered – two-year renewal involved

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have secured the return of Tiemoue Bakayoko from Chelsea on more advantageous terms than first thought, reports claim.

According to the latest from Calciomercato.com, Bakayoko will land in Milano either Friday evening or Saturday morning, but first he will renew his contract with Chelsea until June 2024. After doing that, he will move to the Rossoneri with the formula of a two-year paid loan with an option to buy which becomes an obligation under certain conditions.

Radio Rossonera are also reporting the same news that Bakayoko will sign a new two-year extension with the Blues and then join on a loan with option to buy that can become an obligation – a slightly different formula than the initial one-year loan with option to buy that was reported widely.

According to Sky Italia’s Manuele Baiocchini, the 26-year-old’s move to Milan will be a two-year loan deal with option to buy for €15m. This has also been confirmed by MilanNews.

This Chelsea management are really into business, they don’t want to lose him out on a year loan I believe that why he is ask to sign another 2 years with them so that they can cash out on him…but I pray he perform with us..

2 year loan? Amazing deal for a player like this, we won’t buy him in the end but we have a top backup for 2 years. Just enough time for Pobega to maybe grow completely for the first team.

True that; same goes for Brahim.
In the meantime let’s hope ACM will start establish itself once more as a top club aiming to attract some of the best players and fight for trophies.
Since last season we may be already on the right track.

Perfect deal, have him ready to play now for 2 years and a great replacement if kessie leaves. Then after 2 years we won’t buy and then well use the funds for someone better if needed. Well done Milan now geg an attacker and not Corona or Messias!! Go all out and get Berardi if you want a serious season. Otherwise Zaccagni is the perfect profile for a great price of under 10m.

      immediately

Bakayoko is no replacement for Kessie. But a major downgrade. Kessie is one of the world’s top midfielders.
