MN: Colombo to renew with Milan and head to Monza – Galliani meeting decisive

By Oliver Fisher -

Lorenzo Colombo’s future has been decided regardless of whether Mehdi Taremi arrives from Porto or not: he will go on loan to Monza.

According to what is being reported by MilanNews, a meeting took place in Milano this evening between Colombo, Monza CEO Adriano Galliani of Monza and agent Giuseppe Riso to talk about the future of the young striker.

After that meeting, it has emerged that Colombo is ready to head out on a season-long loan to Monza where he will work under head coach Raffaele Palladino and hope to have more playing than he would have at the Rossoneri.

Before making his move to the U-Power Stadium official, the 21-year-old Milan Primavera graduate will sign the extension of his contact with the Rossoneri, which is currently set to expire in 2025.

Then, he will head for his medical and fitness tests before signing his contract and presumably being announced as a deadline day signing.

  1. I don’t see Colombo doing well at this stage.

No planning, no preparation, no pre-season, no care, and this is with what appears to be our number one prospect from that age group.

And there’s people being paid large sums of money whose only job is to get the most out of these players and have access to multi-million Euro facilities, and they have a success rate of less than 1%.

In any other world a person would be sacked for such an utter failure.
