MN: Countdown begins for Maignan as he will start tomorrow – Milan fans excited

By Isak Möller -

Mike Maignan is back after his wrist surgery and the AC Milan fans are extremely happy with that. The Frenchman was a key player at the start of the season and Ciprian Tatarusanu, his replacement, hasn’t done as well.

Maignan took part in training yesterday and as per today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (see here), he will play Milan’s game against Sassuolo from start tomorrow. At the back, Fikayo Tomori will also be back in action, meaning it’s a double boost.

As highlighted by MilanNews, the countdown has begun for Maignan and since it will be a sold-out game, it should be a great atmosphere. Not only will the fans celebrate Stefano Pioli’s renewal, but also Mike’s return to the pitch.

The goalkeeper himself is obviously eager to make his return and is not afraid of the wrist injury. He knows that he’s recovered from it and will give his all tomorrow, hoping to help Milan to three points.
