MN: De Ketelaere seeks redemption and could replace Diaz against Monza

Charles De Ketelaere is still waiting for his first AC Milan goal and after a missed opportunity against Tottenham, he will want redemption against Monza. In fact, he could play from the first minute.

The Belgian has struggled to impose himself at Milan and while it has been a tough period, there have been some positive signs. Last time out, though, he missed a very good opportunity from close range.

On Saturday, he could perhaps get his revenge as Stefano Pioli is considering starting him in attack, as per MilanNews. De Ketelaere would replace Brahim Diaz in that case, which might seem odd given the latter’s recent contributions.

De Ketelaere needs confidence and the only way to get it is to play. Malick Thiaw has blossomed in the last few weeks and Pioli surely has this in the back of his head, knowing that the former Club Brugge man has the qualities to explode as well.
