Brahim Diaz and Sergino Dest both had to leave AC Milan’s game against Monza due to injuries last night. Subsequently, tests were carried out at Milanello today and positive news has arrived from the club.
Both players, but especially Diaz, did well last night and thus the injuries came as a bit of a blow. The Spaniard scored a spectacular brace and a serious injury can throw a player completely off rhythm, as we know all too well.
Fortunately, as reported by MilanNews, the tests that were carried out this morning ruled out any muscle injuries for both players. The players will be monitored closely over the next 24 hours and then a decision will be made regarding the Dinamo Zagreb clash.
Out of the two, Diaz has a higher chance of making it back for the game, which would be a huge boost for Milan. Charles De Ketelaere is the natural replacement but he hasn’t really impressed lately.
Thank God… we simply cannot afford any other injuries, specially concerning a player that is performing so well.
Great news. Diaz has been playing with great confidence, intelligence and far more strength than last year (not that that is a high bar to exceed when he fell over anytime someone would BREATHE near him last year!).
So good to see Dest play with confidence. With the Calabria & Florenzi injuries, we really need him to play the way I know he is capable of playing like from when we’ve seen him play well for both Barca and USA.
