AC Milan intend to protect their squad by securing some key renewals and add to it with some summer signings, a report claims.
MilanNews writes that Paolo Maldini will now work on the issues related to the contracts of Gianluigi Donnarumma, Hakan Calhanoglu and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but with an eye on Alessio Romagnoli, Simon Kjaer, Franck Kessie and Davide Calabria – all of whom expire in June 2022.
For Donnarumma and Calhanoglu the negotiations ‘are in full swing’ but there is still an economic distance between offer and demand.
The will of both players to extend as both are doing well at Milan and have become key cornerstones of the current project, and the Rossoneri on the other hand would like to keep them to build the team of the present and the future. Regarding the future Ibrahimovic, who expires in six months, the dialogue will start in a few weeks.
