MN: Donnarumma heading towards Barcelona as Milan’s management make a statement

By Oliver Fisher -

Gianluigi Donnarumma is heading towards signing for Barcelona when his contract with AC Milan expires at the end of next month, it is claimed.

All major sources are reporting that Milan are close to announcing the signing of Mike Maignan from Lille who seems set to become the club’s new number one, with Donnarumma’s contract expiring at the end of June and everything pointing towards him leaving Milan after nine years. It is certainly a statement from Paolo Maldini and co. that they will not be held to ransom by a goalkeeper and his agent who are adjudged to have excessive demands.

According to what is being reported by Pietro Mazzara of MilanNews on Twitter, Donnarumma is heading towards Barcelona and his chapter at Milan is already considered closed. He adds that it is a statement by the management for future operations, both incoming and outgoing, in what is a ‘dynamic’ (always changing) Milan market.

  1. Imagine the foolishness of Donnarumma. Is this what he’s leaving for? Barca are in staggering debt, in huge need of a rebuild with no project in sight. How does he even intend to displace ter Stergen?

Following Mino’s orders in prioritising money over a club that loves you, will eventually end in negatively.
