MN: Double pivot reunited as Kessie and Bennacer worked together with the team

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli was able to welcome back his first choice double pivot in training today as Ismael Bennacer and Franck Kessie returned.

According to what is being reported by MilanNews, Kessie and Bennacer worked today with the rest of the squad at Milanello for the first training session back for the team after Sunday’s friendly draw against Real Madrid in Austria.

For both it is a return after different ‘commitments’ as the Ivorian embarked on his first training session of the preseason so far with Milan after his adventure at the Olympic Games with his national team in Tokyo.

On the other hand, the Algerian got back on the field today after recovering from Covid, which kept him out of the last two friendlies. The double pivot could be reunited for the final friendly of the season on Sunday against Panathinaikos, it is certainly hoped.
