These are hot days for AC Milan’s mercato pursuits. As a result of Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara’s renewals, the Rossoneri are now making great progress and the two main targets appear to be Charles De Ketelaere and Hakim Ziyech.
Given that the season will start earlier than usual, on August 13 to be exact, Maldini and Massara are working hard to get the signings to Stefano Pioli as soon as possible. And they have seemingly made great progress lately.
As per MilanNews, ‘everyone’ at the club is on the same page when it comes to Club Brugge’s De Ketelaere. He fits the project perfectly and this is the belief of Elliott, the directors and Pioli. As such, the Rossoneri are pushing to sign him.
Talk with Chelsea over Ziyech are continuing and Milan want to reach an agreement with a loan formula. There is optimism that the deal can be closed and making these two signings would certainly be a statement from the club.
If Elliott really agrees, and are still in charge, then give us the funds to buy him! He’d rather come to us than mid table Leicester. Given his age and potential, plus no.10 is a particularly weak position for us, it seems prudent to do what it takes to secure him.

I am liking the look of Adli in the CAM role. He has clever feet and is very dynamic. Let’s save the 35m on CDK and invest it on Ziyech, Sanches and/or Berardi

It’s another thing to write a check to Brugge for 40M+ to get him….Would love CDK in our team but I’d be surprised if ownership spends 40M+ on one player and highly doubt we will get a “discount” on a young player w CL experience and is only getting better AND who is under contract for another 3 seasons….I pray I am wrong.

I agree with you Juro. I have been saying for weeks that my prediction is Leeds end up with him. Leeds just sold Kalvin Phillips to Man City and next they’ll sell Raphinha to a big premier league club (there’s a bidding war going on now). So Leeds will have PLENTY of money to pay 40M for CDK and also plenty to pay for Tyler Adams from RB Leipzig.

give em 30 + Salad (on loan) for CDK, Ziyech / Berardi as main RW, get a good DMF (as Pobega rotation), and maybe (low salary) Dybala as bonus then we good enough for CL
Sign CDK and Ziyech is perfect so that wen Ziyech is injured CDK can play there and Adli will play no10 position… And I think Origi will surprise everyone and be top scorer with Lukaku and Vlahovic cus he his more complete than them both
These sources are the best there are, so to me there is little doubt about the information contained in this article.
But then, of course, there is a long way forward if we want to sign CdK. But we may all dream for a moment or two. And should he end up in Milan I will be ecstatic. His primary role is central striker/false nine, but he is just as good in CAM, and good enough as back up RW. He will be able to cover many roles, and my guess is that he will continue to grow into a top class player.
I am pretty sure that Ziyech will end up in Milan though. There are absolutely no rumours that he is going anywhere else, and the best sources confirm that the negotations are going well.
What is more intriguing is who will be our new midfield-signing and left central defender. Sanches and Diallo would be great, but there might be good alternatives here.
Are these the same sources that were saying for months that Botman and Sanches were done deals basically? I’ll believe it when I see it.
No, they did not say that they were done deals. They always said that Newcastle was in the running for Botman, and as to Sanches they never said that it was done, although clearly negotiations had been going on with the player.
Yes, the Ziyech news seems very credible and if we are to believe what we’re reading, Chelsea will help out and pay a portion of his salary to offload him… he would be a very welcome addition to upgrade our weakest position at RW.
Btw. Leeds are close to signing Sinisterra from Feyenoord (25 mill euros?) as replacement for Raphinha, so it is not obvious that they will move for CdK as well. They need to replace Kalvin P. as well.
That means Phillips replacement might be tyler adams
I think Milan signing would be Ziyech (RW), De Ketelaere (AM), Diallo (CB), Sesko (CF) and maybe Sanches (CM).
Sesko and De Ketelaere are both centre forwards, and with both Colombo and Lazetic in our ranks, it would be superfluous to sign Sesko.
yes correct compare Colomba or Lazetice with Red Bull Mega Talent, Colombo has never seen a training like Sesko has for 2 years. Its always the same story, you have never played by ourselfle then me …so its super hard for you to understand the things…:-)
DiMarzio confirms first bid for CdK. 20 mill euros + add-ons. Seems strangely low that bid? For me this indicates that they will not be willing to spend the amount necessary to convince them to let him join Milan instead of big-spending english clubs. At least, I think Milan need to move quickly in order to close this deal.
De Ketelaere not sure. He playing in Belgium league not la Liga. many young players better CDK.
