MN: The figures of the Fiorentina-Adli deal and background on Milan’s obligation attempt

AC Milan and Fiorentina have agreed a deal for Yacine Adli which will see the midfielder join them on an initial loan deal, according to a report.

According to MilanNews, Milan tried to include an obligation to buy during the discussions with La Viola, even a conditional one. However, Fiorentina never opened to that formula but instead agreed to pay a loan fee and insert an option to buy.

Ultimately, a handshake was done on the basis of a €2m loan for the season and a €10m option to buy in favour of Fiorentina. The Frenchman is expected in Florence to undergo a medical soon before signing his contract and then an official announcement will follow.

The former Bordeaux man did not train with Paulo Fonseca’s team yesterday precisely because of how close the move is. He wished to stay and convince the new head coach, but ultimately has accepted that a change in scenery is best for all parties.

Adli is set to become the 23rd player to move from the Rossoneri to La Viola. The last one in chronological order dates back to 2020 and was Giacomo Bonaventura, even if technically it is not exactly a direct transfer because his contract expired and he went on a free.

  1. Moncada is hoarding bunch of average NFL running backs for cheap while sending unwanted players out on loan.

This summer we got Origi, Ballo-Toure and Saele back struggling to offload them, next season we’re getting Adli and Pobega back.

Soon we’ll be stacked like Chelsea. But with banter era quality type of players.

    1. Well… Maybe the next season’s coach has different values and gives them a proper chance and not play them on wrong positions?

      1. We’re already at next season’s coach? So Fonseca is past already after two games? Then we can add the likes of Emerson and Abraham to the list of deadwood since they were specific request from Fonseca.

🚨🔴⚫️ AC Milan and AS Roma are now closing in on Tammy Abraham and Alexis Saelemaekers swap deal.

AS Roma to receive also fee in excess of €10m as part of the agreement, now being completed.

Final details to discuss between clubs as players have both accepted the move.

    1. 10mil for Abraham isn’t terrible. What was his highest tally? Like 15-17 goals a season? Certainly more impactful than starting JoKafor

  3. The universe being what it is the one player I wanted sold this summer will turn out to be our biggest regret.

Feel free to say you told me so but I really struggled watching him.

    1. For this one I agree with you, Adli has some good point, he always has good vision but lack the technical ability to execute the pass. He did bad past that turn to counter against us so often last season…

But as with every other ex Milan player, I hope he will have a good season. More so that Fiorentina will only buy him permanently if he will have a good season… except when against Milan, ofc.

  4. Just the best for Yacine, he always showed his love for this team but unfortunately the club and him never really discovered a position where he can shines. Maybe in Firenze he will discover it
