MN: Florenzi arrival means even less space for Castillejo – the latest on his future

By Isak Möller -

Milan are on the verge of securing the services of Alessandro Florenzi, who would mainly act as the deputy right-back. However, his versatility could mean trouble for Samu Castillejo, who has been linked with an exit all summer.

As highlighted by MilanNews, the probable arrival of Florenzi could make things very difficult for Castillejo, as the Italian can play as a right-winger as well. Therefore, Milan are looking for a suitor for the Spaniard.

There have been no convincing offers as of yet although there is concrete interest from La Liga side Getafe. They are unwilling to satisfy the demands of the Rossoneri, though, which makes the deal very difficult for the time being.

The next two weeks will be decisive for the future of Castillejo, but it’s also very clear that he could struggle to get minutes for the team this upcoming season. This could result in him pushing for a move before the window closes.
