Alexis Saelemaekers has gone from being an unknown quantity to one of the symbols of AC Milan’s project, with further room for growth.
As MilanNews writes, Saelemaekers arrived from Anderlecht on an initial loan amid general skepticism about what he could bring for the team given him limited experience playing senior football, and there was even some surprise when he was bought outright six months later, but he is repaying the faith of the management in a grand way.
Saelemaekers has gone from a gamble to being a staple of this Milan side through hard work, courage and awareness as well as an improved technique and quality in dribbling. The Belgian often prefers the simpler play in times of difficulty and has a spirit of sacrifice that leads him to be a very precious resource for Pioli.
He has only been at Milan for a year and a half but the trajectory of the winger is very encouraging. He is esteemed at Milanello for his great professionalism and for his ability to listen, always wanting to improve his game and strength of character which experience brings.
