MN: Further doubts raised as Origi suffers another injury setback

AC Milan cannot be happy with the return on their investment in Divock Origi thus far as he has suffered yet another injury problem.

Pietro Mazzara writes in his column for MilanNews that Origi now has an issue with the flexor of his left thigh, or rather the one that has been bothering him for some time and which is impacting his ability to get rhythm.

His condition will be re-evaluated upon the team’s return to Italy with the hope that the scan will not show any serious injuries. Even still, the experience of the Belgian cannot be described as a positive one so far because he has just one goal and has been unavailable more than he has been available.

Much more was expected of the former Liverpool man, who was signed to contend for a starting spot with Olivier Giroud, who could well be asked to work overtime once again after the post World Cup vacation.

To date, Origi is a sizeable question mark even if his injury history was known. Maldini and Massara did not have a big summer budget so had to look for a free transfer to invest the money made available by the ownership elsewhere, but up to now not even they can be satisfied.
