MN: Gabbia not even in Milan squad for Fiorentina squad – the reason

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli will not be able to call upon Matteo Gabbia tonight as he did not leave with the squad for Florence, a report claims.

In the days leading up to the game against Fiorentina tonight at the Stadio Artemio Franchi it looked as though Milan would have a clean bill of health as Davide Calabria, Alessandro Florenzi and Ismael Bennacer returned to full training with the rest of the squad, thus marking an empty treatment room for the first time in a long time.

However, Pioli then confirmed that Brahim Diaz has suffered a slight knee sprain and will miss the game, while reports then emerged stating that Gabbia could also miss the trip due to having a fever.

It is therefore no surprise to see that Gabbia is not in the squad at all for the game against La Viola, and MilanNews have confirmed that he did not leave with the team.

  1. To be honest, Milan’s first team has alooot of players, I was counting the bench yesterday and you can form a whole other squad with extras… which is okay if such a big team can be managed by a coach who frequently rotates his players, anyways alot of them are deadwood and need to ship out
