MN: Giroud and Leao react unhappily after being taken off by Pioli – photo

By Oliver Fisher -

Stefano Pioli made the bold decision to bring off both Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leao in the second half of the 2-2 draw against Napoli, and they didn’t react well to it.

MilanNews report how as the images showed on broadcast, Leao asked Pioli the reason that he was brought off for Noah Okafor and it took Alessandro Florenzi to calm him down.

Giroud, who had scored a brace and was probably eyeing the match ball, sat on a freezer box clearly looking disappointed and frustrated to have been taken off for Luka Jovic.

    1. I’m afraid he’s never win the dressing room at the first place. That’s why the management really pushed to have Ibra back in the team.

  1. The players rightly so are done with Pioli. Besides having no real tactics, he plays favorites and starts his boy Krunic who has been terrible over better players. If I was on that team I’d be getting upset too.

  2. Taking Leao off was understandable and probably the right decision but Giroud for Jovic?? That I really don’t understand. Also why does Leao feel entitled to a full 90 minutes? Boy clearly has the talent but he just won’t put in the extra work needed to get to the next level.

    1. New striker for the last 10min is really not that controversial. Jovic also created that big chance for Calabria so it even produced something.

    2. Taking Leao out when the opposing team is opening up so Milan could counter is something that only a special person can do or support. Okafor is so much slower, and let’s be honest, isn’t really worth much more than 13M€ paid for him. Taking Giroud was also ridiculous, Jovic had one useful touch and a few 100% useless. He showed 0 in the matches before and he gets the last 10 minutes. I would never defend Giroud but the move was ridiculous and it showed on the pitch.

    3. “Boy clearly has the talent but he just won’t put in the extra work needed to get to the next level.”

Extra work? He doesn’t even do the minimum to stay on the level he once was. Balotelli 2.0 in the making…

  3. It seems what has been denied and covered up in the dressing room for sometime now is beginning to manifest.

    Houston, we have a problem!

  4. The problem is The new signings are all Pioli desire, that means we can affirm those latter can only shine under The current Coach, if the management mind up their mind by opting to replace him by a better mister half of the calciatori will be sold, look at Musah-Reindjers-Krunic no one can pull off an accurate pass wether it’s short-through-long one, not even a shot on target, we had the opportunity to increase the advantage when was alone on the left the Former Alkmaar player optes for the individual option by shooting he wasted such a golden opportunity.

The big Problem is Cardinale despite the recent incidents still doesn’t give a shit about Ac Milan, never present neither in high stake match or against low ranking team , always s traveling from one country to another one, if he replaces Pioli no one can assure us it will an updrage, regarding the poor interest he puts in Having Technic Ambitions

  5. He has Ibra and Maldini to save his ass in the dressing room for the last couple of season and now none of them are there to save him.
