MN: A ‘greedy Milan’ will be needed against Sampdoria – first place in sight

From now until the end of the season, every single game will be very important for AC Milan, but one could argue some will have an extra edge. Today’s game against Sampdoria is like that, with first place at stake.

Inter only managed a 1-1 draw against Napoli last night and that means that the Rossoneri would leapfrog them both with a win today. Sampdoria recently hired Marco Giampaolo and things are starting to look better, so a good game will be needed from  Stefano Pioli’s men.

As highlighted by MilanNews, Milan previously failed to get the job done when there was an opportunity to climb a bit (vs. Sassuolo, Udinese and Spezia this season). The feeling is different now, though, perhaps because of the recent derby win.

The Rossoneri will have to be greedy on the pitch today, eager to claim first place in the standings, as the report concludes. The game is scheduled for 12:30 CET and that means we will soon know the outcome of Milan’s efforts.
