MN: Hauge likely to be sold this summer as Milan reject first offer from Bundesliga side

By Oliver Fisher -

Jens Petter Hauge is ‘close to leaving’ Milan after what will be less than a year at the club after his arrival from Bodo/Glimt, according to a report.

MilanNews writes how the Norwegian was bought for €4.2m last year at the beginning of October and now he already has his bags packed ready to leave Milanello. After a good start, he found himself struggling for playing time particularly in the second half of the season, with Pioli preferring Rebic and Leao or even Brahim Diaz on the left.

In addition to buying players, Milan are also evaluating sales and would like to obtain resources by letting fringe players leave such as Hauge, Castillejo, Conti, Caldara and a few other players. Hauge has a market in Germany, with Wolfsburg keen having met the player’s agent, but in the last hours it was Eintracht Frankfurt that put a concrete offer of €8m plus bonuses forward.

Milan’s request was €15m so the bid was rejected, but the feeling is that in order to score a capital gain, Milan are willing to accept the winger’s farewell if Eintracht raises the fixed part of the offer.
