MN: Hauge takes Europa League exclusion well but solution could be to switch positions

Jens Petter Hauge could try his hand at a new position in order to help AC Milan fill a void on the other flank, according to a report.

As MilanNews writes, Hauge’s exclusion from the UEFA Europa League squad list for the knockout rounds earlier this week amazed fans and the media alike.

It is a choice that is based on numbers in each position, but the reaction on social media suggests that leaving Rade Krunic out would have been a more popular choice, though the Bosnian is certainly more flexible.

The Norwegian winger has accepted the decision and is aware that today he does not have much playing time ahead of him, because in addition to Leao and Rebic the competition has become even more fierce with the arrival of Mandzukic.

The management rejected several offers for Hauge, considering it important for the boy’s growth to stay in this squad at least until the summer. The report adds that the solution could perhaps be try to reinvent himself on the right flank where, with Saelemaekers and Castillejo, there could be a much higher chance to see him on the pitch.
